Why are Granville Solutions unique?

Harvester

Harvester is an 'out-of-the-box' business intelligence solution to allow banks to be productive very quickly and at minimum cost. It is designed for a single core banking system to be the main source of information.

Currently, Harvester is offered with Adaptors for Midas and Midas Plus i.e. it is a fully integrated solution with Midas or Midas Plus as a bank's core system.

Adaptors are packaged ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes which import Midas / Midas Plus data in 2 stages:

  1. Granville Adaptors for Midas and Midas Plus use Microsoft SQL Server to read data from Midas / Midas Plus and load it into a data warehouse as follows:
    • Extract - Harvester automatically captures all the required data directly from Midas files. The solution also includes a specially designed iSeries component but no Midas extracts or IBM queries are required
    • Transform - All Midas codes, day numbers etc. are transformed into understandable information in a consistent format
    • Load - After extract and transformation, Midas data is then loaded into a data warehouse designed around a generic banking data model, so meeting generic banking needs, not the file structures as designed over many years with Midas.

  2. Further processes load information from the data warehouse into OLAP cubes.

Harvester then provides the following for all bank staff to use the OLAP cubes:

  • Default views for all Midas data which ensures the information is instantly usable.
  • An Intuitive user interface with the latest easy-to-use sophisticated tools to view the vast amount of Midas data and to perform quick, sophisticated analysis to help business decisions.
  • Additional applications which process Midas data in the data cubes to provide additional functionality.

Granville Associates intend to offer other Adaptors to allow integration with other core banking systems as required to meet customer demand.
