Harvester is a complete 'out-of-the-box' solution designed specifically for a single core banking system, currently Midas and Midas Plus.

With Midas as the main source system, all the ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes are packaged in a Midas Adaptor,  supplied as standard to load information directly from the iSeries database. Granville also supply and install an additional Granville iSeries component,  the data warehouse (SQL Server 2005) and the OLAP software (TM1).

A complete solution can be implemented and live in 2 months, subject to the hardware being in place following our specification. This is very much IT ‘lite’, requiring minimal IT involvement.

Of course, every Midas installation can be different, typically with additional customer information. Even with such customisation, the solution can be installed and configured very quickly. 

Business Intelligence Factory allows multiple source systems to be included and provides an open data warehouse.

This means that implementation would usually take longer, but depends on:

  • the additional systems required to input to the data warehouse.  For example, if the Trade Innovation Adaptor were required, then this would require very little additional time
  • the complexity of these other systems
  • the additional outputs required from the data warehouse to feed other systems

However, as for Harvester, the main system could still be implemented and live very quickly to provide immediate benefits, with additional systems or customisations being added over time.
