Granville Business Intelligence solutions all use a common Granville Architecture which combines a relational database with online analytical processing (OLAP) technologies. This enables the real-time processing and analysis of large amounts of complex data.

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler"
Albert Einstein

The Granville Architecture allows data to be acquired from virtually any type of data source and any flavour of operational system.

  • Data is maintained using Granville's generic banking data model.
  • ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools extract the data on an as-required basis during the day or in bulk following end-of-day processing. These tools are fast, secure and robust.
  • Comprehensive logs and audit trails are maintained to enable compliance with the most stringent security and internal control requirements.
  • Users can access the data directly or over an intranet or the web.
  • Data can be exported to feed a bank's existing information systems - so that analysis is performed against detailed, transaction-level data rather than higher-level (and often out-of-date) consolidations of that data.
